Types of Planers

There are many types of planing knives, due to the different forms and contents of the planing process, the type of planing knives used is also different. Commonly used planing knives are: plane planing knives, offset knives, cutter knives, elbow knives, etc., as shown in the following figure.1. Plane planing knives: used to plane plane.2. 3. Cutting knife: used to plan right-angle grooves, countersunk grooves and cut-off functions.

4. Elbow knife: used to plan T-shaped grooves and side grooves.

5. Angle knife: used to plan angled work, dovetail grooves and internal bevel grooves.

6. Template knife: used to plan V-shaped grooves and special-shaped surfaces.
